She doesn't understand how this network operates.

And so when she tries to micromanage things, it leads to mass frustration.

And so 60 Minutes staffers are not only frustrated about the ideological direction under Barry Weiss, but they're just frustrated that she just doesn't know how to manage effectively.

I mean, it seems like there's a lot of case studies that you can point to right now that would indicate that when you move to the right, you alienate your core audience.

And that's a business problem, whether it's at the Washington Post, where you've seen mass subscribers exodus, or whether it's at CNN under Chris Licht, where you saw the ratings decline.

You know, it's not like this is unproven at this point when news networks and news executives try to steer their networks to be friendlier to this administration for larger business reasons.

It hurts the news networks business or the news companies business, because I think people out there right now, particularly the people that are.

subscribing or watching these news networks, they want to see accountability journalism.

They want to see this administration's feet held to the fire.

They don't want to see cozy interviews Tony DiCoppo is doing with Donald Trump.

They don't want to see Marco Rubio saluted on the CBS News.

And they don't want to see stories held on 60 Minutes for no real reason.

And so Barry Weiss, she's come in and she's talked a lot about, I want to regain the trust of the audience.

I want to regain the trust of America.

You could very much argue that she's actually destroying trust in 60 Minutes, destroying trust in the CBS News, destroying trust in CBS News at large.

And I think that's something she should really grapple with.

I mean, if she's genuine about wanting to have CBS News be a well-respected, trusted network.
