And so, you know, I think it kind of exposes Barry Weiss for not only not having basic standards at CBS News, but for saying stuff to her staff that she doesn't actually seem to mean.
I would say that, you know, her actions so far have suggested that she does not welcome actual debate inside the network.
If she did, she'd be having these conversations with her staff.
There are a number of forms which she can do that.
She can send an email to them.
She can talk about on the 9 a.m.
editorial call that they hold every every day.
She has said not one word to her staff about her decision to keep someone caught in the Epstein files, which I think, you know, as the old saying goes, sometimes silence is louder than any words.
So much.
That's the thing.
I mean, I do think we should point out there are some there are a lot of good journalists out there doing a lot of good work at a number of outlets.
The trends that we're seeing from from massive corporations.
Right.
are highly alarming and disturbing.
And we should also say, too, that outside... This is all coming from a position of weakness.
It's because these networks, their business models have crumbled, whether they're online or whether they're on linear television.
And so they are...
really not in a position to stand up to this administration.
At least they don't feel like they are.
These are not like bulky muscular networks anymore.
