We had a number of creatives say they were not going to work with Disney until Kimmel was reinstated.
And so they were really backed into a corner here.
And at the end of the day, I think they realized there's no great decision.
There's no pleasing everyone.
Either you please the Trump administration and alienate your core audience and the creatives that you need to work with, or you really piss off the Trump administration and bring Kimmel back.
And I think given that there's no way to please everyone, standing on principle obviously made a lot more sense.
And so what you're seeing them now do is bring Kimmel back.
Oh, you did it too.
And I think, Don, a lot of people felt the same way.
And we don't know how many people canceled, but it's certainly not good for Disney when they're facing this kind of scrutiny and backlash from people like yourself and just everyday Americans just canceling their subscriptions.
And I think what you pointed out, too, was it's so interesting because...
The people who want to cancel Kimmel are the people who mocked liberals for supposedly being snowflakes, who were triggered, who wanted safe spaces, who were offended by comedians.
And now it turns out when they're in power, that's exactly who they are.
They should look in the mirror because they're the ones trying to cancel a comedian for a very mild joke that isn't even, you know, it's being portrayed in a totally different light.
But even if Kimmel did make a joke that they found offensive...
like you said, that's sort of the point, you know, he's a comedian.
He he's a little edgy and he's going to offend people and you don't necessarily cancel someone over one joke.
The standards are not even close to equivalent.
On the right, you can basically get away with whatever, and there's never any action taken, for the most part.
Tucker Carlson was able to get away for years with pushing lies and disinformation and conspiracy theories about migrants and vaccines and everything under the sun.
