And of course, we're living longer because our medicines are getting better.
And again, this is something that just happens automatically.
Where we're stagnating or going backwards are usually those issues where it would demand bold reformers to actually improve a situation.

A remarkable job turning around the curriculum, the assessment system.
She's getting into teacher education soon.
So she's actually making a real difference that we will probably see in the statistics in the year to come.
So we're really excited about those two components.

I mean, what was the thing my takeaway from the Deloitte report was that it's the worst period of growth in the Australian economy for 35 years.
Weak consumer business confidence, high interest rates, inflation on the march, you know, growth expectations in the economy.
Deloitte's just forget it.
You know, it's on life support.
And as for living standards, just go to any Harvey Norman store.
They're still selling fridges, but nowhere near as many.
So, you know, it's a tough old place over here.
You've got unemployment easing up.
It's not leaping up, but it's easing up.
Hiring expectations from businesses large and small are on the decline.
