He's just really been kind of
exemplary ever since the day he committed to the team and that's the other kind of significant part of it is that he was born in Canada but spent a lot of his life in Portugal and so to commit to this country you know to never be kind of one foot in one foot out and questioning do I want to come and play this game or you know am I going to stay at Porto where I've got massive expectations on my shoulders all the time he's always been there he's always showed up he's always taken on
a team first kind of role in the side.
He doesn't often get to be the hero like he was in that game yesterday.
And even with the captaincy as well, like there were a lot of reasons to make Stefan Estakio the captain of this team for all the things I've just talked about.
And it didn't happen because of, you know, we know Alphonso Davies is the face of the team in many ways and his stature.
And he's never once showed any kind of sign of bitterness or, you know, disillusionment about that decision.
He's just gone with it.
