What was that like being there?

Um, you know, I think what it was like right now in Washington, DC is, um,

the militarization of our communities is just absolutely devastating.

Yesterday morning and last night, actually after this, in my neighborhood, seconds away from where I live, federal agents were surrounding people going home to work to their families.

So what it was like in that moment to address this regime,

terrorizing communities here and abroad.

But it's the legacy of the U.S.

So I think the amount of rage, whatever we can scream, will never get through the amount of trauma that the U.S.

has wreaked on communities all over the world actively and historically.

And that is

after something like this, even right now, I'm shaking a little bit because no, nothing we could have said would have been enough.

Um, and yet we had to say something.

And so it was, you know, four women yelling at a group of like, as you can see in this video, mostly all white men, um,

to try to convey that, yes, not welcome in D.C., this is not what safety is, over-militarization in D.C., and the continued presence of the U.S.

military all over the world and the act of genocide that they're supporting.

I have no idea what it feels like to be living in Gaza right now.

I don't know what it feels like to have warships go off day in and day out in places like Guam and Puerto Rico.

But what I do know is that we are in D.C., the heart of the belly of the beast, and these people live around us.

These war criminals dine in places so close to us.

So when we do know where they are, the least we can do is be in those spaces and be yelling at them.
