But then comes this filing where they dropped the case.
And essentially say on Jeanine Pirro's end that they got some internal documents from the Department of the Interior, which came later.
Specifically, and this is a quote from that filing, it says it was, quote, the result of a botched installation and not vandalism.
They said that because they got these recent materials, it undermined their case for the indictment and essentially meant that they had to drop the case.
So, again, an extraordinary about face.
David Hearn's attorney is calling it a tremendous abuse of power.
In an interview with ABC, he said, imagine the president of the United States talking about going to jail for a decade for something that you didn't do.
And remember, this has been a project that is so personally important to President Trump.
He talks about it in his press conferences.
And don't forget, he greenlit nearly 15 million of taxpayer dollars to restore and repaint the pool.
And just weeks after he did that, it sort of went wrong.
The pool turned green from the algae and the paint that they had put in that pool started peeling up.
President Trump said overnight he hasn't yet made a determination about what he's going to do with Jeanine Pirro.
He stands adamant that there was vandalism that damaged the reflecting pool.
And now it's going to be the question of what does he do because of this move by Jeanine Pirro?
