And I'm always very surprised when there is elections in every country.
I never heard a politician or the future prime minister talk about food.
Maybe because it's extremely complex.
But they talk a lot about manufacturers, cars.
But they never talk about food.
And we eat normally.
We eat three times per day.
So food is about politics.
And when we see the actual state of the world, we thought it was important to talk about our roots in food.
Because food is identity, memories, childhood.
but roads, because this is the current situation in the world.
And they introduced their story with a short film.
It's all part of a project to document and preserve food knowledge that's disappearing.
My name is Laura Ruana, from the government of Catalonia.
The name of the project is Gastrosabias.
It's a combination of two words, two Catalan words, from gastro, from gastronomy, and from sabias, clever people, who also means old woman in Catalan.
We wanted to put value to this culinary tradition in Catalonia because we have most of the best restaurants in the world, but this comes from somewhere, from the tradition.
It's an evolution, but of the tradition.
