Lyndon Dykes today, at the time we recorded on Monday evening, he signed a new contract with QPR until 2026.
Obviously quite a turmoil year for him.
He started the year with pneumonia.
It was linked to us and supposedly we made a bid for him, Joe.
A bit marmite to QPR fans, but the reaction today generally I've seen they're quite happy about it.
It's a bit of a shame really we missed out on that one, but I suppose we went for Nisbet if we really wanted Dykes, we probably would have gone for him, I feel like, but I don't know what you think, mate.
It would have been an all Scottish front line potentially, Dan.
I mean, you know, I've seen it already, you know, the club shots starting to sell tarts and kilts and stuff like that at the Den and, you know, things that, yeah, we're starting to lap it all up big time and bagpipes happening when they score their goals.
But I mean, can you imagine that?
I mean, if you said to me two Scottish strikers and a Welsh striker as our front line, it would have been an interesting one.
But yeah, I mean, missed out on Dykes.
How do you feel about that one, Dan?
Do you think it would have been, we'd signed both this bit and Dykes if it was available?
Or do you think it was one or the other?
I mean, I think with Dykes, you touched on him there about how he plays.
He's one of those players, I think, that doesn't get appreciated because of his scoring figures.
But I think amongst his teammates and, you know, people at the club, they'd be like, this guy's a workhorse and leads the line for us and works his heart out for us.
But do you think we'd have signed both of them or...?
I mean, one other name, guys, that's obviously been linked to us is Cox, the left back.
For the life of me, I can't remember his name.
