I mean, that's a really uncomfortable chat for parents, I think, to have with their children.

I was thinking about this because I've never spoken about this, but I was like, if this isn't the space to talk about shame, then where is it?

So we were selling the family house that we'd lived in for 37 years, a couple of years ago.
And my mom was, she was doing a basic on her own.
And I remember going down to the house for my last goodbye and just asked if there was anything I could do before I had to head back home.
And it hit me while I was there.
I went, I've not lived in this house for maybe 15 or 20 years.
but my stash is still under the bed.
No.
Yeah.
Wow.
Still hidden away in the kind of deceptive shoe box shrouded by sports equipment.
So it would look completely innocuous.
We're still there under a drawer and this house is getting sold.
And I thought, oh my God,
I can't leave this here, not least if the new people arrive and open a drawer and there's a stash underneath the bed and they're thinking all of these thoughts with who was living here beforehand.
