or positioning yourself as the supplicant or asking an investor or a buyer for their money in a way that makes them seem powerful and you seem like you need the money, that is the worst possible situation to be in because it's asking for something from the low status, needy position.
When a buyer or investor sees you as low status, they have difficulty on listening to you, appreciating what it is you have, and they say things like, thank you for coming to present,
We appreciate you coming in today.
