So that was challenged in court and now affirmed by a federal court that Texas can prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving in-state tuition in public universities.
I guess it's no surprise that the leftists would try and challenge that.
But it seems like just such common sense to me that it's like you can't just let someone decide, I'm just going to come here and do it.
And I find it personally insulting because it's like –
they've already had all these rules and restrictions put in place.
So the people who live here in our citizens can't do that.
They can't, you know, my son went out of state to college and that because his in-state college didn't accept him.
I couldn't, we didn't even have that option.
And it cost me, I would say six figures.
just from that.
And I, and I did look into it.
I'm like, well, what if I moved across the border?
Cause it wasn't that far away.
And I, it, it was very clear that they had made sure that couldn't happen that like, no, you have to have already lived here for several years and you have to establish residency and you can't just move here and then get in state tuition and
So, like, they've made sure that people here, legitimate citizens can't do it.
So why the hell would we let illegal immigrants just show up on the doorstep and say, I'm going to get in state tuition?
It's ridiculous.
So I'm glad Texas is doing it.
I hope other states do it.
And I hope the federal government just says nobody's allowed to do it.
