Does it add value to my life?
Does it take away from my life?
And ultimately, we have to understand, Claire.
Every loan, I don't care what the justification in your head is, every loan.
Alone is borrowing from the future to pay for today.
That's what it does.
Sorry, I'm not gonna argue with that.
Like if when we see electricity bills and gas bills coming in the door and they're going up through the roof and there's uncertainty around what's gonna happen next with the Strait of Hormoose and all of these things are in the media all the time and they're they're in our brains.
And then someone comes along and says, If you buy this, we can give you a very cheap loan and you stick this panel on your roof and you'll have a payback, it'll start paying for itself or you'll start being in profit in six or seven years.
Look at the SEI and and work it out for their own home.
But that that isn't like let me let me just be really clear.
I know I'm a financial planner, but not all loans are bad.
Like some loans do make sense.
Mm-hmm.
And some loans, yeah, you'll you'll have to hit the you'll have to make the repayments on a month to month basis, but in the long run, you will you will benefit from it.
And it does make financial sense.
