uh on two this i was experiencing on two levels the main level was i thought this was extremely funny oh yeah it was good slapstick stuff especially when the jersey got ripped off yeah i mean howland raging with with this thing in tatters he's waving his arms and shouting i mean that was hilarious uh
But also, it was a joke.
What is this referee doing?
Why is he not calling fouls here?
And most of all, how is Gabriel not sent off?
I mean, I just thought, well, that's stupid.
I mean, it's an automatic sending off.
It's really, really weird.
You know, I mean...
this is why Premier League managers eventually all lose their minds you know like they all go completely crazy because this is like this has been gospel you know this has been like you know scripture for the last 10 years if you make that move with your head it's a red card it's the most obvious it's the easiest red card to call perhaps of them all and for it to happen in the biggest game in the Premier League season it could still decide the Premier League season yeah because Gabriel is going to be there
It's a three-match ban, presumably.
Yeah, it will be.
It's really, really weird.
I mean, Martinez.
I remember Darwin Nunes got sent off for that, like in his home debut, I think, for doing a similar thing to Joachim Andersen.
Gabriel also got away with a penalty, which I thought could easily have been given.
And I can imagine James Tarkovsky already smarting from losing the Marseille Derby.
We've been watching that with some bitterness because I remember him earlier and said, did he actually get sent off as well?
I can't remember if he got sent off, but he definitely got a penalty given against him playing for Everton for a very similar type of thing where he had his arm sort of, his arms are down.
I can't remember if Tarkovsky had his arms behind his back in the way that Gabriel did, but the point was that he leaned towards the ball and deflected it with his arm.
