Yeah, it's a totally different conversation from the other side, I guess.
But yeah, there's a lot to, I guess, understand from both sides.
And probably hearing it, you know, your side of the fence, my side of the fence, it probably adds a lot of value and helps you recognize what's important to both parties.
So, okay, so why don't we start with some of the excuses?
Why people avoid having this conversation?
Totally.

That's a big one, right?
If you're going for your first job, I don't know anyone that would be able to do that.
Just go straight into negotiating.
But after a couple of years, you tend to get a feel for how things work in a business and know what your value is.
Yeah.
That's it, exactly.
Okay, so two more excuses that people might make.
Yeah, I think that's particularly in a medium or larger business, anything that more than 10 employees, that's probably hard.
It's different if you have like three employees or two employees, you know, that's different.
But yeah, if you're in a bigger business, that's something that you can't really just rely on that, right?
Yeah.
