So Mark Andresen, the venture capitalist uh co-founder of Netscape, made this uh reportedly made this comment in a meeting uh in the White House basically as a dig at Anthropic.
Anthropic's co-founders, uh, brother and sister Dario and Daniela uh MOD lived in a group house in San Francisco together in the 2010s, along with um Daniela's then fiancé, uh
uh now husband Holden Karnowski, who's uh very involved in the effective altruism uh movement.
And they along with um OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman, um, had some like really momentous discussions about exactly these issues about like how do you, you know, how do you kind of frame the, you know, the AI doom argument um and and get ahead of it.

So, you know, that's it's quite a leap to go from a group house where two people were in a committed relationship to it's a polyamorous sex cult, but you know, this is the information environment we live in today.
And certainly and I agree with that.
Uh, but I think that also technology allows step changes in in behavior.
It it enables it you know, it makes things cheaper and faster, largely.
And AI is kind of a you know
the you know, the the same technology that makes it much cheaper to uh say field um customer service calls also makes spam calls uh a hundred times easier.

Yeah.
To quote Whitney Houston, uh I believe the children are our future.
And um you know, Gen Gen Z hates AI.

Or or or at least they've been told that AI is gonna take their jobs.
