are just these huge cities, and so the World Cup just takes up a smaller percentage of their overall tourism, whereas slightly smaller cities like Philadelphia or Kansas City, it's going to be more of a boost.
It's going to be a few weeks until we really know the overall impact on the U.S., but we're already seeing this kind of split.
one thing is that these foreign tourists some of them have gone viral for becoming obsessed with you know american staples of life like ranch dressing and chick-fil-a and big suburban houses those have gotten a lot of attention on social media people have made a lot of videos filming themselves eating american-sized portions for the first time some of it i think is laughing at us some of it is laughing with us i love ranch i tasted here it's delicious

The Journal had a great story about Nike, which failed to realize how many people were going to want jerseys for the U.S.
men's team.
And they ran out very quickly and it took them a while to restock jerseys.
