There was a nucleus there of quality, of Manchester United players, if you see what I mean.
You know, players you could bank on.
And they were aged in their early to mid-twenties, all of them.
It was virtually the Northern Ireland team.
What was Sammy, Bestie, just gone.
McCreery, Nicol.
Now,
I don't know if this is true, but a friend of mine, and he told it as more of a joke than anything else about we David McCreary.
He too, of course, came over when he was maybe 15, same as Sammy and Bestie and all that.
But what I was told was that David's family included some pretty tasty lads from the loyalist side of the family.

Whether it's true or not, I don't know.
But that was the story.
I'm glad there was an element of truth in that story then.
