So I would say you can safely factor that in for next year.

But it might be nice to do something for people who want to enter into the used car market for an EV and for those people who, you know, €20,000 is still a lot of money, but for those people who that's way out of their league, there might be nice to incentivise people who want to get into the market at the lower end.

Well, they've been phased out by manufacturers care because, you know, for lots of reasons, mostly because of the taxation and penalties against them.

You know, back in 2008, we were all encouraged to move into them and by the taxation system, which was based on CO2 emissions.

At the time, the perceived wisdom was, OK, CO2 emissions are lower.

That's the target to go for.

Everyone in Ireland bought diesels.

That's why there's still so many around now.

But with things like NOx emissions now being taken into consideration and how that affects people's breathing in particular in urban areas, there's a real move away from diesel.

So it's not even the case of on one side there's taxation but fewer manufacturers are even producing them.

Lots of the mainstream manufacturers don't even offer diesel cars anymore.

So there are still people in Ireland who like them and there's still some brands who offer them but

And for people who really spend a lot of time in their car and are up and down the country, for some people, diesel will still be king for some time to come until they're forced out of them at some stage.

Well, the lack of charging facilities is an issue and I think there has been some good progress on that in particular this year.

However, most people should really factor in that charging at home is by far the cheapest way to charge an EV and particularly if you're in a rural area, you might not be living in an apartment, you might have

access to your own driveway or a piece of land.

So charging at home is always the best way.

It's by far the cheapest.

So most people should do their charging at home and reserve public charging to when they go on a longer journey.

The charging network is okay, in inverted commas, on the motorway network.
