I signed up and and kinda deferred it.

Then uh they sacked Brenton Sanderson, I got a buyout and over I went and while I was studying I got invited to

presented an NFL team and they liked what they saw and signed me for the

on the spot pretty much and and all of a sudden I was doing something different and so really just like very, very lucky uh to have had a few things fall my way and to have been stupid enough to give it a go when little cracks have opened and and now, yeah, like you like you said, it's a long, long way from

Little kid growing up in Glen Waverley landing at uh the M C G and thinking he's living his dream to

now probably actually living my dream where I'm involved in all these sports that

Uh I could never have imagined that I'd be working in these areas, living in New York City, uh yeah.

Keep pinching myself.

Yeah, well I mean that in itself, uh when I dropped the F word in that in that phrase, is an evolution in itself because when I played and this is potentially part of my problem

All of the psychology that we are generally taught growing up and definitely that I was consuming and being given at that age was that you have to make yourself feel good and positive thinking and all this sort of stuff.

And so I did it and I did it to the nth degree.

Any of my Richmond teammates back in the day will laugh at the elaborate pregame that I would have to try and get myself in the right state.

Um and it obviously failed, right?

So I knew that maybe there wasn't

super reliable evidence there, but when I went to study in America I was studying applied positive psychology, so I still thought it was the thing.

And then I went to a NFL locker room and

at the Philadelphia Eagles, my first ever real job and

I'm really trying to crush it, right?

This is my one opportunity.
