Colombian pop star Yesan Jimenez died tragically on Saturday along with his band and crew when their private plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Colombia while en route to a concert.

The crash killed all six people aboard and occurred after the 34-year-old singer had recently spoken about having premonitions of dying in such an accident.

That's only added to the shock and grief felt across the country.

Jimenez is credited with revitalizing Colombia's popular music.
