And if that requires a good deep look at whether financial regulation and things like capital requirements are too tight, then so be it.
That said, there is also the opposite view that, for instance, the crisis in Silicon Valley banks and then the collapse of Swiss banks has completely spared Eurozone and European Union banks.
And that's for a reason.
The opponents of these changes argue that's because EU banks are more tightly regulated.
And so we should be really, really careful about undoing a framework which has helped us withstand shocks from the global financial crisis.
