And you get the Prime Minister saying stuff like, oh, well, why don't they just have Marmite sandwiches like when I was a kid?
Well, you can't serve white bread.
There's all these restrictions about what you can actually provide.
You can't serve white bread.
I had three boys in my family growing up.
We would eat four loaves of white bread a day.
That's how it is.
And stuff like sausages.
Well, what about sausages and potatoes?
But sausages don't meet the protein requirements.
So within the meal of around 270 to 300 grams, you've also got to have a certain proportion of protein, you've got to have a certain proportion of carbohydrates, a certain proportion of vegetables, right?
That's fair enough.
I think that's probably a good thing.
But give them the money to actually give them a quality meal.
and so because they can't most often can't provide meat protein it's things like lentils it's things like beans and a lot of those kids have never had that before so you know there's that there's an intolerance to it there's yeah it's it's it absolutely winds me up because what they've taken is something that should have been a gift should have been given with uh to families who are struggling and turn it into something they feel ashamed about
and turned into something that they don't want.
And that to me is disgusting.
