I don't know if you were a part of it, but there was a podcast that he did with Eric Kaysen and John Vallis.
It was a Hodl.
But when you listen to it, it's like, man, this guy gets the fundamental importance of Bitcoin.
And I'm like, where's that guy?
No, Bitcoin will be the reserve currency.
I think like there's two things that I think confuse people.
They refer to a reserve asset versus a reserve currency.
And when they're doing that, they're kind of like,
They're realistically, maybe conflating is the wrong term, but they look at the treasury as a treasury bill as a reserve asset and the dollar as a reserve currency.
But the dollar is money and a treasury is a claim on future dollars at some future point in time.
And if the dollar held its value...
rather than degraded in value, then why would they need to buy the treasury?
Right?
So it's like, hey, they know the dollar is losing value.
The treasury is functionally speaking guaranteed by the U.S.
government.
So I'll own the treasury because it's going to give me some nominal yield, which is better than just holding the dollar.
But a large function of it is created by the decline in the dollar.
And so it's like money is both an asset and a currency.
Not all assets are money, but money is an asset.
