Yes, there's many responses to this, but yes, I was bothered by it for many reasons, one of which is I think we just need to be honest and upfront about what is happening here.
I don't believe the governor of Texas or the people that made this decision in Texas deeply care about Christianity.
Now, I know that seems like a harsh statement, but here's why I say that.
Because if they did, then they would be, according to the Bible, welcoming the immigrant, feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and loving their enemies.
You're not seeing that at all.
