And so I would just say a couple of things to your listeners.
First, yeah, this is a discouraging time.
This is what it means to be human right now.
my encouragement to your people is feel all of it i mean how would we describe this moment unraveling exhaustion apocalyptic upside down people use language to me like it feels like i'm living in a simulation yes yeah of course of course i'm not sure any of us don fully understand the psychological toll
living in America is taking on the human nervous system right now.
I suspect we'll be uncovering the consequences, psychologically speaking, for years to come.
And I wonder, like a lot of people do, like how much longer can human beings sustain this much instability, cruelty, and we'll just call it what it is, abuse.
And so I always tell people, yeah, if you're exhausted right now, if you're tapped out right now, feel every bit of that.
No need to numb it.
No need to try to distract yourself from it.
Feel it.
And so if that means shaking your fist at the heavens, shake your fist at the heavens.
Now, Don, you know this.
There's a lot of precedents here.
In the biblical narrative of people expressing, lamenting, grieving their circumstances.
And much of it is pointed towards God.
