And at one point, they, like, swapped it in eight days' time.
You know, one guy would break it over here in Norway, and the other guy would break it here in England or whatever.
And it just seemed like, holy cow, this record's never going to stop falling.
And then in the 90s, it dropped.
There were two big drops, and then it never happened again.
And you think it's almost like horse racing where we're like, this is as fast as humans can go.
It's 344, 343, which still seemed outrageous.
And all of a sudden, now we've got a new barrier.
And so that, to me, that really stood out.
27 years the record had stood.
And to see somebody do that, you know, you watch it.
It's electrified the way he kicks away at the end.
And, you know, I just didn't think we would ever see a mile record broken again.
Yeah, or yes, all of a sudden, whether you're going to get it.
whether it's better polls, I don't know, or just better technique or stronger guys, but yeah, the pole vault record, I think it's shoot.
That thing might be over 19 or 20 at this point.

And, and he's phenomenal.
Um, but yeah, I remember that the 10 second hundred was a really big deal, you know, when people could do that.
