Now, going back to what you said about what I was reporting with Shane's probably going to get fired back then, I've been told by several.

People reliably that when Harbaugh was coming in here, you know, he wanted to bring in somebody he was aligned with in that position.

And my view of what happened, my informed view of what happened is Shane, who is politically savvy, essentially fell into the praising John, whatever you say, John, role and found a way to survive because he is protected and liked by members of ownership in high places in Giants.

So essentially Shane.

got a golden parachute, but John Harbaugh is running the show.

And I frankly think that, you know, if you forecast, like I was talking to somebody a couple of days ago saying that it was amazing to me still, even a couple of months after he got it, that the Giants, like you say you're confident about what they're doing.

And then you think about, but wait, they extended this guy.

You're like, well, how confident can I be?

Because Joe Shane's gonna be here another four or five years.

And this one person around the league said he won't be there in four and five years.

So it's this idea that when Harbaugh pushed very hard with the Maras and with ownership to make sure he was the run running the show.

And you think about it, Ronnie Barnes got reassigned.

There were a lot of things that he came in and said, Oh, these are problems.

I'm changing this.

At a certain point, John.

Harbaugh also politically savvy said.

All right, this is gonna be something I'm not gonna push on because, you know, maybe Tim McDonnell and Joe Shame are close and I don't wanna upset the Mara family this this early.

But down the road, John Harbaugh is gonna make this his own operation and Joe Shane is frankly not his guy, even to the point where Harbaugh at the end of the spring season.

Harbaugh said when he was asked about Shane's extension, he gave a couple platitudes and then he said, Yeah, you know, ownership made that call.

That wasn't me.
