Now, his father would have been a social worker in a center in Horsens.
It was called the Horsens Center.
And up until Patrick Nevin was a teenager, you know, we don't know a huge amount about that period of his life.
We do know as a teenager that he was convicted for an attack on a man at a neo-Nazi rally.
And then he committed his first crime of his sexual nature when he was 17 years old.
Essentially, he visited a friend's house.
Now, the friend wasn't there, but he was in the house when he became extremely violent towards the friend's mother, and he sexually assaulted her.
This was in Denmark, and he was later convicted.
of an aggravated oral rape and sexual assault.
Now, because he was still a minor at that stage, the Danish courts gave him a short sentence on condition that when that sentence ended, that he would return to Ireland.
Yeah, he did.
Yeah, that's right.
And when he came back to Ireland, he actually moved back in with relatives of his father in Dun Laoghaire.
And things did seem to be going well for a short period of time.
In 2001, four years after he came back, he was in a relationship with a young woman that was also working in the same company that he was working at.
And the company organized a Valentine's event in February of that year.
So basically both Ham and his girlfriend, they went along to this and there was some sort of competition on the night where people got to elect, you know, the male heartthrob in the company and the female heartthrob in the company.
Probably wouldn't happen now, you know, but back then it wasn't.
No, no.
So, um, at the end of the night, his girlfriend won the female category and there was this suggestion that the winner of the female category and the winner of the male category, that they would go out for dinner together.
