Jason Ford is picking off pints here.
Why is he picking them off?
Because there's no one on him.
They're working that extra man.
we're not working hard enough you know what I mean it's always put and well you're right about what you said about you know what looks like Ben O'Connor is doing with the Cork half forward line a half forward line is a hard place to play in all that because the workload is just so big so to answer your question John the workload it would have been put to the Limerick half forward line why aren't you getting out and why aren't you getting out that 20-30 yards getting back and tackling him from behind like why aren't you doing it you know what I mean you have to do it if you don't do it
we're in serious trouble here.
So, the job of the half-hour nowadays, is just so, there's so much going on when you're playing in the half-hour.
I think they'll follow him a little bit further up.
At least one of them.
I think who's ever closest to the ball will say... We'll just give an example that Healy will be on 10, right?
So we'll just say if Robert Downey or Niall O'Leary was on 2 or 5 at that wing, I think Kyle Hayes will probably be allowed to push up more then because the ball is on that wing and I think Burns at the far side will stay.
you know because they always like to have a certain amount back in terms of whether if it's a rule of five if it's five defenders back at all times you never want to be left with just four defenders you know and I think it's the same at the opposite if the ball is down Sean I don't know who's wing if they're working the ball out short and Barry Walsh is dropping you'll see Burns drop a bit more I think what happened that day even is the two lads were so on top when the ball was in their own half
you know I thought they were well on top of Fitzgibbon and Walsh every time the puck outs came down every time the ball was there but then of course like Walsh and Fitzgibbon what good players do is when you're not winning the ball you're not getting the ball come out the field and get on it in and that's what they've done so yeah I've no doubt John that they'll be showing clips of that because I remember Fitzgibbon got two scores when he decided to come out the field and they'll look at where they conceded scores and say lads there's going to have to be times where we push up here
it was actually tip that started that boomer to the D remember Bubba's the wire got an unreal goal against them in the first half right top hand corner didn't give Nicky a chance they were both from the same they got two goals the same day high balls coming down full forward coming out knocking it down and then Cork Pat Ryan you know Pat Ryan ended up in the senior county job in Cork a year or two later and really brought that to the fore with Brian Hayes coming out and obviously the pace in the half forward so we'll definitely see that tried anyway because they're quite good down there with the runners there
Well, you know, it's just funny.
It was more the fellas out on the middle of the field.
And if you remember, Jason Ford was that man who came out.
And Jason Ford got six points from play in the first half.
He finished with seven points from play in that game in the Munster final, which is some shooting.
Sometimes when fellas play really well in games, they lose, it gets forgotten about.
