They place an enormous amount of trust in the players, they place an enormous amount of trust in that the lads are getting ready, the lads are getting the matchups right, the lads are getting, you know, focusing right, they're getting everything right, training right.
And then, of course, how could you not have trust in these players, lads?
You know, the record of all the finals, we just concentrate on the All-Ireland finals for the moment, like to play in six All-Ireland finals and to win all six.
It's incredible, really, isn't it?
It's just completely unheard of, really.
And even the narrative going into 2018, when there was a young Limerick team heading up, was that Limerick had lost all five finals since 73.
You know, 74, 1980, 94, 96 and 2007.
And it was this kind of a Hulu thing of like, oh, jeez, can Limerick win in Croke Park?
I don't know if they can, kind of a thing.
So it just goes to show, you know, certain players, tradition is important and all that, but you can make your own tradition, make your own history and, you know, you put your own stamp on it.
And that's what these lads have done.
So it's been an incredible journey for Limerick supporters following them.
It's just to play your best when it's hardest, because the further you go in every competition, the harder it gets.

I knew there was a bit of interest he was like this man has financial interest in this now in fairness I was so delighted for the likes of Cotton O'Neill that because you know out of the six finals we've won this final with Adam English starting Cotton O'Neill starting Aidan O'Connor starting and the Bulls starting the four of them that was their first final ever starting
do you know so that was a big moment for them a big moment for the team of actually having you know and they're not young fellas anymore either they've been around a good few years but you know that's their first final starting and Dave kept up we'll say what the other we'll say buddies above him have done over the last finals performed on the big day Cahill was brilliant Aidan was very good got a couple of very good points in play hit the free as well I thought Adam English was outstanding the Bull might not have had his best game but you know a very good year overall
you know, cementing his place and will be a huge player going forward.
