I'm watching Dan Burke a couple of years now between underage stuff.
He appears like this kind of player that could turn into a top, top player in the country.
You might tell us a bit more about how he played.
He seemed to be on an awful lot of ball for me in the half-hour line.
When he's at his best, he has a really high possession count, a really good passer at the ball.
He always seems, when Screeny is playing, because obviously they played together underage, they always seem to...
connect really well together.
He seemed really good.
I saw kind of half a clip on X as well about, or maybe it was Instagram, with Brian Dygan and got an outrageous pint.
So two of them, loads of hurling, you know what I mean?
So you can talk us through a bit and we'll say how they actually got on top of you, Kenny.
It's the top two inches.
It's the top two inches.
even when things are going wrong you're not getting game time just keep delivering but it's amazing isn't it isn't it amazing what a small thing can do like this could be the catalyst this could springboard him now he could become off his main forward you know he could stay on the freeze who knows obviously Screeny's there as well but he could have a brilliant summer ahead now the summer might open up for him this time 12 months what could we say about him like a good example right is two years ago Brian Hayes didn't start the first it was basically first year in the panel didn't start against Watford in the first round but up for Cork
start and they lost then he got in for the following day because they lost against Clare and it didn't really go well for him and I remember he said this in an interview after and then when they played Limerick then in 24 that big game that they had to win below in the park Robbie O'Flynn was down to start that week and he got injured he pulled up in training with a hamstring injury on either the Tuesday or the Thursday
and Brian Hayes got back in and he got back in and played well against Limerick that night below which was a game that he wasn't going to start in and he would have been not started in in two out of the first three games after being dropped and now he's started every game since nominated for Hurdler of the Year the following year man of the match the other day so it is mad just how one little thing can go right for some fellas and we know plenty of players that went the opposite way for as well like the best example I could give and the two lads that I would really really have so much time for and would applaud them for what they've done
And look, sometimes throughout the whole year, and I'm not just saying, you know, maybe people thought I was coming down hard on them during the league at times, you know what I mean?
Because I think some people, naturally, when we watch Ireland and watch Kilkenny, we can't help but see the jersey in front of us.
And maybe we expect so much more and we almost see so much more because obviously they're technically the greatest Ireland county in the country, you know what I mean?
They have the most at Ireland, et cetera.
