That's what I need to name him, the warlord.
You need to be, when you're going into battle, you need to have one or two of him.
You know what I mean?
I think, Mo, you had Seamus Pendergast in front of you there for a couple of years.
with Watford and he would have kind of no shame as well out to Hurling but winning high ball you know what I mean and I remember even 2008 he would always he'd hit his man before the ball was even thrown in you know what I mean he'd be setting the tone them kind of players so William is absolutely huge but in a game like this in the quality of the two teams I know in preview nights and different things you'll be talking about which is the one player that makes a difference that's all 15 v 15 here he's absolutely huge one weak link here in the chain on either team
will be the cause of where you you know where you could get fierce joy so it's absolutely huge we could go through all 15 but the William on Shane Barrett one is absolutely massive and also how William will maybe sit back on and protect that because the Cork full forward line is absolutely ripping it up at the moment William Buckley lads is I just he's a very enjoyable player to watch he's some touch pa hasn't he
his touch is his touch is outrageous but I think to come into this team and basically I know he was maybe involved but his first full year playing you know Intercontinental and to do what he's done even to go through four round robins and even to keep his place for all four games when the competition that's on the bench you know
how easily it could have been where if he just dropped off for one day bang he could have been out you know what I mean like Shane O'Brien was to me was one of Limerick's best players the first day against Cork unlimited possession he got four points of play the second day against Clare I thought he should have got man of the match he got six points from play the third day then against Watford his performance came down what happened then against Tiplitz he was out yeah
you know so I'm just saying that's how the margins here especially for these teams and who you have on the bench I've just been so impressed with William Buckley and he's another one I think I've seen someone said he's under 22 as well someone said in one of the comments that you know we were going through all 30 stacked isn't it
it's incredibly stacked you know so yeah William O'Donoghue massive player whoever comes out on top if he can hold Shane Barrett like he did in the league final we have a great chance Limerick have a great chance to win this game that's huge Dara O'Donoghue's role in that will be huge as well though in putting off that space for Barrett and making sure that O'Donoghue can sit back
Yeah, and if there's one man that doesn't mind doing a dirty job, it's Daryl Donovan, you know, as well in terms of off the ball.
And he wants to be able to impact the game.
You'll often hear me saying this, two types of in-game when you're playing hurling, when you're on the ball and when you're off the ball.
And Daryl Donovan is so great off the ball because he's always trying to impact the game when he doesn't have position.
Whether that's filling space, whether that's coming back on a man and letting a roar to William and saying, you drop back there, I have him.
you know whether it's just blocking out space on their puck out whether it's actually whether Nicky Quaid has the ball and he comes up in between William and Barry or Kyle Hayes just so there's a space in front of you know Colin O'Neill and Grodd Higgert he'd run into he's always trying to impact the game when he doesn't have the ball so he's another weapon we'll say that we didn't have against Cork the first day he only came on and Dunquay Wildey came on so teams change ever so slightly as they go on and who knows let's
What'll happen this week that might, we'll be talking about in a month's time, getting ready for an All-Ireland final between these two to say, God, they'll have to change that from the Munster final.
Yeah, sure.
If you were a manager, how couldn't you love him?
You know what I mean?
