They got their matchups right.
In particular, Pius Laverty was on Conor O'Donnell.
Conor Donald is their key player.
He cancelled it out.
Totally in defence.
The defenders played in their own terms.
And I talk in particular about two players.
Caelan Mooney, who was superb for a 30-something-year-old.
And Daniel Guinness.
Every time they got the ball or without the ball, they were attacking.
They were running forward.
They were forcing the likes of McHugh and all on the back foot defensively.
And the last thing, and I know it's simple, but they put pressure on the Donegal kickers.
They were always hand-in-hand.
There was a body coming close.
And in particular, in the first half, Donegal's shooting efficiency from play was down under 50%.
Their attacking play was absolutely superb.
Some great variety, sometimes patient in possession.
But what I liked in particular was their speed and transition.
They're getting the strike runners on at full speed, running at the centre of defence.
