Gosh, the idea that you could wake up and all your money's gone and you thought you were just talking to someone at your bank or whatever it is, or like in the scam story you and I have been working on, you know, you trust the wrong person and all of a sudden your whole life is just upside down.
Yeah.
I mean, maybe part of her overwhelm was like in this case with Danielle, you can figure out getting $40 back to someone, hopefully, you know, because I don't want to trivialize $40.

But it's an amount of money that hopefully we can recover from, or you can at least see that there might be a way.
Right, exactly.
But then you have these other scams, and it's like, I can see if you're the FBI, and I'm not excusing the fact that we don't have better recourse for this, but...
When that money is gone because you gave it to someone in crypto or you handed cash to a stranger, it's over.
It's gone.
They might track that person down and arrest them and whatever, follow them to the ends of the earth.
The money is gone.
And that is, I imagine, a lot of the overwhelm here is like we can spend all of our resources arresting these people, but there will be more.
And if we can't get people's money back, how much good are we doing?
I mean, look,
all for justice and them going after these people, but I can see how the problem would be overwhelming.
It's so scary.
I mean, all of it.
I have nightmares about that.
