The reaction of guys giving him some crap, to cheering him on, to say get emotional, to watching everybody's face if you watch it on YouTube, to watch their reaction when he speaks.
It's his team.
And that's another part you wanted to see.
Not only his development as a quarterback, but to me, the great ones, the quarterback are the face of the franchise now.
are the leader in the locker room.
And you heard that from him, the way he spoke and the way the guys reacted to him.
And that was what I got out of that speech.
Not him getting emotional and talking about Ben Johnson and all that.
It's the fact that it's him.
He's the guy.
He is the man now.
And his performance is doing it.
And then the way the guys interacted with him, that put me over the edge.
And that got me excited to see that when I saw it when it came out.
a former player standpoint seeing a guy kind of come into his own you know there's a rookie quarterback time where you're also learning like how can you describe what you're seeing as far as evolution and the leadership part of it he's he's what 23 correct 24 i believe 24 now yeah he's been programmed his entire life right coming from high school to oklahoma to usc i believe this is just my belief that he's been programmed he's had somebody whether it's his dad an agent an advisor
that has coached him his entire life, that has kind of kept him in a box.
And I think now once you get older as a 24, 25, as he gets older, he's truly going to find out who he is, you know, like, and he's going to become a man.
He's really going to become like who he is.
And I think that's what's happening.
And when I, again, when I saw him do that face in the cheese grater, I'm like, all right, that's personality.
