His dad, he said, it was funny, he said to his dad once, hey, dad, I want to go play international tournaments.
And his dad looked at him and says, why?
He says, have you won all the tournaments in Florida?
have you won all the tournaments in the U S when you do that, then when there's no one else for you to play, but you know, so far you're not doing that.
So he's a great story because it's like all the things that we would love to see, you know, well-rounded youth doing different sports, then concentrating on tennis, going to play at the university.
His dad was a coach at Florida when he won it.
Great story.
Um, so we want to see that and we want to have that be the opportunity for more of our kids.
I would say that that's not entirely true because he was a world-class skier until the time he was 12.
Right.
So he skied and he played tennis, and he was also quite good at tennis.
I believe it was around the age of 12 that he made the decision.
He tells a very funny story about it.
He said, you know, he was a downhill racer.
And he said, you know, you make one mistake in the downhill and you're done.
Yeah.
The race is over.
In tennis, you know, you can make some mistakes.
You're still okay.
You just lose a point.
