Several US service members have been killed across these Iranian attacks on the US bases around the region.
Those attacks have been continuing for over a week now in countries like Jordan, Syria,
Kuwait has been hit particularly hard, and of course we've seen attacks continue around the Strait of Hormuz on shipping interests as well.
I think those first deaths really marked a bit of an uptick in the tensions on the military side, and that's why we saw a stronger U.S.
response over the weekend.

Bahrain, of course, is particularly important as it's the home to the US naval presence in the region.
But now both sides are kind of sticking to the line that the ceasefire remains in place despite these increasingly frequent violations of it.
It does feel like they are becoming more frequent.
And with that, I think the question will be,
how far they can extend this narrative that the ceasefire is still in place.

Iran has this 10-point plan that it talks about being the basis for negotiations.
It says that the U.S.
has accepted that as a basis for talks.
