And I'm thinking like,
why am I not doing what every other 20 something does and go out on a weekend or like, you know, enjoy my 20s or my, you know, early 20s.
It was a struggle.
But I think one of the benefits of living in like a shared home and living with other students is you learn how to be frugal and have fun.
So there were a lot of times that we would have parties at the house that we were living in and just, you know, trying to make the most out of it.
So we'd have theme parties, we'd have like theme cookouts because we all knew we were broke.
We were broke as students.
We're like, we're going to do what we're going to do, right?
So that's how we tried to build that community around ourselves to support each other.
Yeah.
So once I could actually have a great income from a graduate position, I actually still kept a couple of the casual jobs like dog walking and working at a cafe because that just helped accumulate that process of paying off that debt and
It also helped me to keep within those, that frugal mindset of, you know, increase the income, but also keep limiting the expenses.
So I still lived at the shared accommodation.
You know, with a graduate position, I could have gone out and maybe like lived with one other person instead of eight.
But I was just like a woman on a mission.
Get this loan down so I can feel like the weight has lifted off of me.
Almost six and a half years, yeah.
Yeah.
A lot of time.
That was my early 20s, like just paying off a loan.
