because this is what writers say my process is like so annoying to me that it's just easier just to talk it's so much easier and simpler but i think the the work that's produced is is far better well i think the nature of the way that i wrote and the world the football writing world that i wrote in means that my spoken work was much better than my written work not that i'm saying this i'm not being like self-deprecating i think i wrote some good stuff but i was never paid well enough
to really put the time into written work to produce written work that I would be really, really, really proud of.
Because the nature of the amount that I was recompensed for my time meant that I just couldn't afford, because I was doing other jobs as well at the time, I just couldn't afford to put the amount of kind of, there wasn't the time as well, because the volume of work required meant that, you know, if you're doing four 1,200 word pieces a week,
That's like that's you don't have time to do them all to the level I really would have liked to write to.
And so I can hardly remember anything I wrote.
I remember one or two things that I wrote that the rest of it is just a kind of blur of a blank page.
And I'm just getting through and submitting it and hoping that content standards didn't.
I missed some horrible Bleacher Report nonsense thing.
There was a copyright there.
It's funny, because people don't like copy editors, right?
But I made friends with you from copy editing.
That's how you came to know of me, was copy editing my stuff, I think.

am pretty sure that i'm pretty sure that's and this guy called cal gilder who i'm friends with to this day i remember the name if if i ever wrote a book i would demand that he copyedited anything i ever wrote that guy's the best the most kind of like the kindest and most kind of measured i remember i remember that name just get the little feedback coming yeah yeah it's horrible right especially if you're a bit averse to criticism
like, which like, I don't love, nobody loves it.
Right.
But especially then when I, yeah, right.
