The Southern teams are going to just stack up for years to come here.
This is just the era we're in.
But I have beat the drum of I'm okay with them making the contracts even shorter in length in order to create a little bit more movement.
I think that everybody's going to eventually get fed.
Listen, I think that right now you're probably looking at some Canadian markets that are going to lose some star American players.
As a result of other bullshit off the ice that's gone down.
And maybe like media wise and yada, yada, yada.
You guys know all the reasons as to why that's going to happen.
But I always believe that the pendulum will swing back the other way at a certain point.
And that's kind of the era we're entering right now.
I think that the players who still have like players coming off of entry level will still have the opportunity to lock in for those eight years, even if it's beyond July 1st.
But once that new seven years,
I believe that if there's players who are coming off of their entry level where certain organizations... Yes, you're right.
They're going to get that little extended period right before training camp where they can lock in these guys for these final eight-year deals.
And then after that, it's going to be the six on a new team, seven on a current team.
