And then my brother and I took for quite some time.
And then we got our room when we hit our teens.
We got our own room.

It was like part of the kitchen.

What language did you use at home?
Well, I grew up listening to Maltese.
My grandmother and grandfather.
that was their main language.
My grandmother could speak English.
My grandfather, I think spoke it better because he, because of being a war figure, I think he was forced to speak English.
And obviously my mother spoke English because she migrated so young to Australia, but predominantly we spoke Maltese.
And then on the weekends, when we'd visit our dad and our Greek side of the family, they spoke mostly Greek.
They hardly spoke any English.
Unfortunately not.
I could speak a little bit and I understood a little bit.
And the reason they spoke Greek was so that we could speak Greek.
I don't know, it was such a different life with them.
They were so different as people from our Maltese side.
