And, you know, for the first couple years, they were very, very hot.

But everything, you know, even look at Elvis's career.

You know, once he went through the late 50s and the 60s, got into the 70s, and everything has a shelf life.

And that's where it was with the LOD at that time.

It was a shelf life.

Well, Vern had lost Hogan, and I told the guys, I said, you know, because they were Minnesota boys, I said, we can go back to Minnesota if you guys want.

And, oh, they wanted to go back home.

And so I called Vern up.

I broke in with Vern, so I knew Vern very well.

And he wanted us in there, and he brought us up there, and

And we made a deal with Vern that really made us do a lot in wrestling in the 80s.

Because our deal with Vern was you get first dibs on towns that you book.

But I knew the AWA didn't book towns for weeks at a time.

They would do three a week.

Maybe four.

And then that's it.

And you get the rest of the time off.

So that time off, I said, I want to be able to book us out.

And then we always had Japan.
