And that's what connected everybody to us in a weird way that we all felt we've been there for some of their losses.

And, you know, I never wanted them to win when I was a player, but I certainly, when I was there yesterday, I was just so joyous for them to get over the line.

But I do think it represented much more than that group and that's what made it so magical.

You can understand that, can't you?

there's live sport has probably never been as important.

I don't want to get too deep on it, right?

But like with everything that's going on, you know, people's lives, people dealing with health issues, people dealing with atrocities globally, right?

And then you go into that stadium and all for 90 minutes or whatever period of time you're there, you're just utterly present, you know?

And that's what I found yesterday more than anything.

couldn't couldn't help myself looking around at like the crowd I never recognised the hill as much as I did yesterday pre-game I actually got goosebumps looking at it and it wasn't just the Dublin it was actually the the difference of colours there was loads of Kerry people loads of little pockets of Kerry people on the hill as well and you look around the stadium and you just see the patterns I thought there were so many Kerry fans there yesterday and they were so loud like that that to me it was whether people think yesterday's game was a classic or not is

I thought it was everything I wanted it to be in a weird way it was brilliant bar obviously the outcome from a Dublin point of view but yeah I think there's a bit of that in it too that like you know there's a serious meaning to these type of occasions and that came true for the whole weekend even you know talk about Wicklow's win and stuff like that that sense of the GAA's importance and just live sport in general I think came true this weekend Yeah that's all well and good Paul but tell me this were we robbed?

I think, I'll start by saying, I honestly think Kerry would have found a way to win.

I really do.

I think that, you know, there were decisions that went, that maybe they didn't go the Dubs direction.

And we can talk about them on their own merits.

But that aside, like,

I still, there's something inside me that just thinks that second half, playing with that wind, even though there were key moments and key times that they went against them, I still just think that the way Sean O'Shea and Paddy Clifford and even David, like through, you know, grizzled teeth, carved out scores yesterday, you know, I think they remind me of our team a little bit in the sense that we just would have found and figured out a way, you know, and

So I'd say serious credit to Kerry for that, because they're probably not playing at the level that they can, or we all think that they can play, yet they're still, they've got serious grit.
