You'll remember the Tim Southey farewell, which was a bit awkward because Tim Southey kind of didn't really sort of cover himself in glory in that final series.
But around that time was when Cain Williamson was speculated.
There was speculation Cain Williamson might be done.
And he scored 100 in Hamilton against England when we gave him an absolute pants down hiding.
And there was a lot of speculation at the end of 2024 that that might be the end of his days.
And I think there were conversations that were had.
And basically they just said to him, we'd love you to just keep going for a bit more, mate, please.
And so I think maybe, not a deal, but a kind of like, let's just do it series by series.
And so with hindsight, I wonder whether the light was dimming and...
