I think utility is actually a very good word to describe it because

There's a stubbornly consistent technology development cycle.

It's about fifteen years from proof of concept to widespread adoption.

And if you look at blockchain on that sort of scale, whereby it was in in its modern form, was uh in the 2008 white paper around Bitcoin, it's it's actually fairly consistent around that.

But if you look at actual utility, it has been

Employed in areas as wide as electronic health records, uh, real estate, land registries, supply chains, and then of course uh into uh the world of finance.

So utility is really where it is at the moment instead of hype, because it has been around long enough that

What people are doing with it is very practical and right from the institutional in terms of of international money systems down to uh individual payments and peer to peer transactions.

Eh no boss uh

Absolutely the consumer level.

Exposure is minimal.

Probably not.

For the simple reason that it is definitely becoming an infrastructural layer.

I've been around the technology world uh quite some time.

So the the uh example that I usually give is we were talking in the tech world about virtualization for a long time and it was a huge buzzword.

Now we don't talk about it so much anymore because we talk about the revolution that it facilitated, which was cloud computing.

Blockchain is probably going in a very similar trajectory.

It will become an infrastructural layer in many different architectures to enable different things.
