All of the benefits of blockchain are
Bring certainty, security, transparency, traceability, and immutability to those systems as well.
So say for example, uh one one of the the um the big problems with large international trades is settlement times.
So the classic T plus two, so up to two days after the an actual trade has happened, before settlements um
Exactly.
Whereas blockchain based systems um and and tokenized assets uh traded on them can have what's called atomic settlement, where everything happens more or less at the same time and almost instantaneously.
So that gives huge uh advantages essentially and predictability as well.
So in in other instances uh th there are already um examples of
of uh commodity trading and uh e even just um supply chains, whereby blockchain-based systems offering instant settlement has changed the way that you can negotiate the prices.
So in certain instances with with uh volatile commodities, um coffee actually is is one of them.
Um
The price could change.
between the initial deal and the settlement.
That doesn't happen where you have these blockchain-based systems with tokenization whereby those kinds of settlements can happen on a faster and more predictable basis.
So it changes the way you can actually negotiate a final price because there's greater certainty in the the the price that's being negotiated.
Not necessarily, no.
And this is where one of the other key terms in in in this whole context comes in, and that's smart contracts.
So essentially all of the rules that you are agreeing to in a market, in an individual trade, or even within a regulated context, are coded into the actual system that you're using.
So essentially a smart contract can uh encode
All of the criteria that you wish.
