Before we get to actually setting the prices, I want to lay some foundational work here.
What is a man hour?
So when you own a lawn care business, you want to know what a man hour is, which is simply if you're a solo operator, one hour for you, you're a man or woman, doesn't matter, person, one man hour.
How long does it take you to mow, edge, trim, and blow a property?
Let's say it takes you one hour, okay?
That's one man hour.
Now, if you have two human beings, all right, they identify as a human being.
I didn't cut it out, Mr. Producer.
All right, you have two human beings, all right?
Two man hours.
Let me say it like this.
It took you 60 minutes, but there's two people.
That would be two man hours.
A property takes you one hour, but there's three workers.
That would be three man hours.
So you're in the business, in the lawn care business, you're in the business of selling time.
And so you want to understand what a man hour is, and you want to calculate your time.
