I was thinking about artists as explorer, artists as collaborator, and some of the things that correlate with that based on how people see that or perceive that in the domain.

People, I think, often think of artists like, oh, I make art with their long like cigarette extender.

I make art because I'm interested in as arrogant, self-indulgent, occasionally genius.

Right.

But mostly negative.

There's a lot of negative connotation that comes with the explorer.

They don't care how I feel.

I came to the show and they fucking noodled around.

I don't know what the fuck.

And then how do people see a concert...

What were we seeing?

Ben Folds or Jacob Collier, who invites the audience in and makes them feel part of something that maybe they're not even qualified to be part of on their own.

They don't have the skills to hang with Jacob Collier, but he invites them into this joint thing.

And they'd say, it was transcendent.

It brought me...

away to a new place from my daily grind.

It gave me a sense of community, a sense of belonging.

I was dancing, I was singing.

I felt culturally tuned in to all these beautiful humans around me, which I do think plays into who we are as humans from a DNA level.
