And Rick Rubin would say, it's not about your lifetime.

It doesn't happen across the light.

It doesn't have to have to happen on these timescales.

Every project is a small unit of this, uh,

what do you call like every project in isolation can be this workflow.

So when you start a project, for example, Eric, you're going to start a new project, right?

or Thompson, you're going to start a new composition.

You want to start as the explorer.

You want to minimize the noise from the outside.

You want to be your true authentic self.

Rick Rubin would say you want to create without influence based on who's going to like it or whether the audience wants this, the audience wants that, because that degrades the true you.

And then after you make the piece of art,

then you release it into the wild and then you can like play it a bunch of times and interact with the audience a bunch of times and tour stadiums and you know talk about it and do interviews and like have the collaborative experience after you've made the art and this is a small unit of work

I make it without considering the audience.

And then afterwards, once I release it, I very much invite the audience and consider it.

Then on my next piece, I go back into the studio and I'm true to myself again.

I'm the explorer again.

I put the, you know, the...

the, uh, the blinders on.

And I, so that's kind of Rick Rubin's that it's not over a career and it's not chronological over a life, but this is a workflow that occurs each and every project.
